This blog contains information about a grant program that is no longer accepting applications. Please check our most recent blogs for things to do in Pottawattamie County!

New for 2021, the Pottawattamie Countywide Tourism Promotion Committee is offering 12 $500 grants for the rural communities in the county to promote their best tourism assets or community event.  The funds may be used for advertising, marketing, and promotion efforts such as signage, printed and digital advertisements.

Only one grant per Pottawattamie community will be awarded, with no more than 12 grants being given. Completed applications are due by midnight on Monday, March 1, 2021, and must be emailed to EricaForWIDA@gmail.com.

Grant recipients must complete a follow-up report upon completion of their project. This report should include a one page write up summarizing the use of the funds, the impacts of the project, and photos or hard copies of printed materials produced. Receipts for the project’s expenditures must also be included and submitted by December 31, 2021.

Please note that this one-time grant will be distributed on a reimbursement basis only after the follow-up report and receipts have been submitted. Only municipalities or non-profits are eligible for this grant.
