Places to See Fall Colors:

Hitchcock Nature Center

For many locals, the best part of fall is watching the leaves change colors. Sometimes it can be difficult to anticipate when the peak fall colors will be showing, but the Iowa DNR sends out a Fall Color Report that helps estimate peak viewing dates based on where you are in Iowa. Currently, they are predicting that October 8 – 12 will be the best viewing in southwest Iowa. Check out any of the parks listed below to see some fantastic fall foliage!
