Macedonia is one of the oldest and most historic towns in Southwest Iowa. Every year on the 3rd weekend of the month of August we hold our town celebration, Donia Days. We have lots of fun activities for all to enjoy throughout the weekend. This year we celebrate with the theme Riverside Pride, Macedonia Pride, and Community Pride. Starting off Friday the 19th we have the Show & Shine Car Show, Family Fun Night, and the start of the City Wide Garage Sale. Saturday the 20th is jam-packed with the Macedonia Volunteer Fire Department Breakfast, Craft & Vendor Fair, the parade, Kiss A Pig Contest, Bed Races, Dance Performances, Talent Show, Hot Dog Eating Contest, Corn Hole Tournament, Live Entertainment at The Back Forty and so much more. We finish up the weekend with a Community Worship at the Grandstands with a community potluck picnic, cake walk, and the Riverside Church Association Vacation Bible School for the children.
