Perfect for beginning gardeners and anyone who is interested in supporting native plantings in their outdoor spaces, Gardening for Diversity will give you the confidence and background knowledge you need to grow a beautiful native garden that supports local wildlife and provides other great benefits for you and your community! This second session will prepare you to plan out the human and plant needs of the site where you want to reconstruct your pollinator garden. The session will cover how to draw your map to scale, labeling any hazards or challenges, and incorporating the “cues to care”. We will also work on planning your short and long-term goals, helping you bite off chewable chunks, and avoid issues that can come from doing too much, too fast. Participants can pick which sessions they would like to attend, but we recommend attending as many as possible to ensure you build a strong foundational knowledge. Click the link to see more sessions. $15 per person. Best for ages 14+.
