Hit the trails and enjoy a few mindful moments in nature. Hikers are invited to walk along the West Nishnabotna River and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature while using their smartphone to access guided meditations to help them recenter and enjoy nature. Botna Bend Park's prairie trail is our designated Tranquility Trail. Start at the trailhead near tent camping area #4 in the middle campground and watch for posted signs featuring QR codes. Scan each code with your smartphone to access free, guided meditations.
Additional Tranquility Trails are available at Arrowhead Park in Neola, Iowa & Hitchcock Nature Center in Honey Creek, Iowa. This event is free to all park users with paid park admission and is available during regular park hours. This event is currently scheduled to run through May 31st but may be extended.
