Hit the trails and enjoy a few mindful moments in nature. Hikers are invited to walk our boardwalk trail to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature while using their smartphone to access guided meditations to help them recenter and enjoy nature.
Hitchcock Nature Center's equal access Boardwalk is our designated Tranquility Trail. Start at the Boardwalk trailhead and watch for posted signs featuring QR codes. Scan each code with your smartphone to access free, guided meditations.
Additional Tranquility Trails are available at Arrowhead Park in Neola, Iowa, and will be coming soon to Botna Bend Park in Hancock, Iowa. This event is free to all park users with paid park admission and is available during regular park hours. This event is currently scheduled to run through May 6th but may be extended.
