Westfair 2021 is just around the corner! Come join us at the largest and oldest on record (1861) county fair in Southwest Iowa. There will be free parking and free admission to the main part of the fair, and we are always seeking sponsorships to help defray the costs of putting on the fair. At the heart of Westfair are the 4-H and FFA exhibits featuring livestock shows, static exhibits, presentations, apple pie auction, etc. The Queen Contest will be held in the Showring Wednesday evening. Sunday at noon, the Best of the Southwest Shootout, where Grand Champions in all livestock species from 11 counties vie for supreme SW IA district champion.
Free daily entertainment Thursday through Sunday on the lawn: Tumbleweed Crossing Wild West Gunfight Show and the Kevin Barnes Magic Show will highlight the greenspace in 2021.

Concluding the fair is the 4-H Livestock Sale on Monday, August 2 at noon. Gather some partners, enjoy a ribeye sandwich, purchase cattle, sheep, hogs, or poultry and advertise your business with your purchase. Champions pictures and all buyers will be published in The Nonpareil and Gazette.
