The morning discussion is focused on women in the workforce and the most relevant work happening from a statewide perspective with Debi Durham, Director of the Iowa Economic Development Authority. Also scheduled are two fast-moving conversations -- one regarding childcare as a driver of economic development featuring Dawn Oliver Wiand, executive director of the Iowa Women's Foundation, and the other on opportunities and challenges around aging in place in rural communities with Lakelyn Hogan, Gerontologist and Caregiver Advocate with Home Instead Senior Care. The summit culminates with Elizabeth Smart, the renowned author and nationally recognized advocate for change related to child abduction, recovery programs, and national legislation.
