This downtown green space is a hub for family activity! The interactive water feature with child-activated sprays and other child-friendly touchable art makes this a great place for kids to play and explore. The main features of the park are public art pieces funded by the Iowa West Foundation. Wellspring, the fountain in the center of the park, and Oculus, a performance pavilion, were both created by artist Brower Hatcher. The park is home to seasonal events like Farmers Market Council Bluffs and community holiday celebration Winterfest.

The Veterans Plaza, dedicated on July 4, 2003, was sculpted by famed artist John Lajba. All branches of the military from the Civil War to the War on Terror are represented in the plaza. Names inscribed in the memorial identify the Pottawattamie County military veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice to our country.
