A collection of more than 300 mounted birds, including many rare species and some over 100 years old, are displayed throughout the museum. Known as one of the finest collections in the state, Dr. Stempel, a self-made authority in the area of ornithology, has left a legacy to future generations to observe species rapidly becoming endangered and/or extinct. Tours are available by appointment.
